Who is Balance Beerworks?

Who is Balance Beerworks? As I sit and sip on a tasty beer, as part of the ownership team, I ponder this myself…

Once word spread we were starting down our brewery ownership path, several questions kept popping up from people we know and curious people we don't know. These questions likely stem from the physical space we found ourselves taking over, along with our history of the place… "Are you guys just Device Brewing?", "Are you just going to do the same beers?", and the answer is 100%, no.  WE ARE BALANCE BEERWORKS.

However... our joint journey began at Device and we draw inspiration from our time together there, but only in the sense of what we ourselves made from all our talks, trials and tribulations, victories, defeats, and quality years spent growing together, first as a team, and then as friends, ultimately blossoming into a well-balanced family. I guess you could say that we were grown from beer.

Family, to us, is what you make it.  It’s fluid, it’s comradery, it’s blood, and anyone who truly and thoughtfully has and wants to join us along the way.  Relationships matter, people matter, and of course quality beer matters too, but never above the people. Without our people, what are we here for? 

We cherish times spent together, family time, quality time with our kids, hanging with old friends and making new ones. Beer to us is a binder, an ice breaker, a time to celebrate and commiserate, a time to enjoy and relax, a time to tackle your thoughts alone or amongst others, or just a time to simply be. 

We’re hard passionate workers with varying, skills, backgrounds and many experiences. All taproom upgrades have been done by us, bar tops and table tops built, drywall and paint applied, branding and merch designs created. We’re brewers, we’re woodworkers, we’re painters, we’re designers, we’re husbands, we’re wives, we’re parents, we’re animal lovers - we are family. We lean on each other’s skills and experience to create a team atmosphere and we’re always open to new people helping fill in where we lack. It takes a village, as they say, whoever “they” are… :)

We aim to create something more than just beer, a welcoming place for all. Through our our actions and along with our beer, we plan to show everyone who we truly are! We look forward to getting to know all of you! So join us for a pint or two, hang out for good times, and come… FIND YOUR BALANCE.
